Getting the 'Green Gables' Look

Good morning fashionable legions of the undead!

I have some exciting news this morning! Do you remember my Anne of Green Gables inspired wardrobe from the other month? Well, recently AnneofGreenGables.com (Sullivan Entertainments official website) featured my collection on their blog and today they have posted an interview with yours truly about how to find Anne inspired clothing. TOMS!

I'm sure most of you already know TOMS shoes but for those of you who don't this company sells cute slip on shoes (perfect for almost every outfit) and when you buy a pair they give a pair to a child in need! It is an amazing business model and I just found out that they are now using the same 'one for one model' to sell eyewear! For every pair of glasses that you buy TOMS will give sight to one person in need. Meaning that they pay for somone's sight-saving surgery, medical treatment or perscription glasses. How amazing is that?

Uplifting

Here's a fun one for Monday. National Geographic attempted to make a real life 'Up' balloon house!

300 weather balloons! The house flew at 10,000 ft for about an hour! Amazing. I love that they made this whimsy a reality. You can read more on their blog.

Etsy Fav: Poppycock!

I have another Etsy fav for you all this morning! Poppycock Vintage! I love this shop because they have such amazing hats! I want them all and their seriously cute model will make you want them even more. I am super jealous of her hair. Here are some of my favs but there are many, many more!

I really think the model should keep that turquoise hat. It is so stunning on her! Then again, maybe I want it for myself! I think I have used too much punctuation in this post but I can't help being excited when I look at all these awesome hats.

I don't even botha...

This song cracks me up. My favorite parts include:
"Girl, you ain't no barbie / I see you work at Arbie's / #2, supersize, hurry up, I'm starving!" and also "I be rolling up my catnip and shitting in your litter".

I have also started reffering to people I don't like as 'basic bitches'. All and all it is hilarious. Even my dad thinks so!

Ultimate Babe: Josh Brolin

It's Monday again but I thought I'd start the week out right with a little babe action. One of my all time favorite hunks is Josh Brolin. I think my attraction to him began with "Goonies". What a serious teenage babe! I love his headband. Why didn't guys look like that at my high school?

He has such great hair and facial hair! I like that he has the bad boy thing going on but them breaks out into being a goofball. (Oh yeah, almost all of these pics came from here.)

Yago Hortal Featurette

Check out this Spanish artist based out of Berlin: Yago Hortal! I'm not usually a fan of abstract paintings but these are wicked! I love the colors and shapes and the colors. I feel like they are a depiction of how your mouth feels when it eats candy or maybe something that's just really, really good.

Looking at this collection just makes me giddy. It makes me want to jump on a train and travel through the Swiss Alps without a care! I love the big collared jackets and the BOW HEELS! I am definitely adding them to my list of clothes I want made in Vietnam. Here's a peek, get swept away!
